October's Highlighted Art Sessions
Timber Harmony:
A Textured Symphony in Wood
A unique textured wall art piece inspired by geometric designs and gradients of color. Using wooden blocks of varying lengths, students will paint the wooden dowels, arrange them and adhere the pieces onto a flat surface to form a layered, 3D pattern.
Adinkra Vibrance
A Tapestry of Geometric Heritage
Students will begin by picking a Adinkra Symbol, which will then be cut out of cardstock. Next, students will paint their designs using a variety of bright, blended colors, allowing them to experiment with mixing and applying paint in creative ways.
Regal Creations
Crowns in Clay
Students will design and create their own unique crowns using polymer clay. They will start by sketching their crown ideas, focusing on shapes, patterns, and colors. After selecting their designs, students will shape the polymer clay into crown forms, incorporating textures and details using tools and molds.
Pencil Charm
Beaded Inspirations
Students will create a beaded pencil keychain using colorful beads, sturdy string, and a keychain ring. They will sketch their pencil design and then cut a length of string to begin stringing beads.
